I make stuff with
web tech.
I work as a full-stack software engineer, and have leaned into the frontend lately during my time at KIFWA (Kenya Int'l Freights and Warehousing Assn.). I’m also tinkering with product ideas at Origin HQ while working on smaller software projects in my free time. My studies most recently were in JKUAT, where I specialised in Pure Mathematics, and minored in Computer Science. I am also an alumnus of the Kamilimu Limited which has shaped most of my thinking as a professional(check them out and apply if you're a student). I love collaborating in small teams on impactful and creative projects. I care deeply about quality, sustainability, and accessibility. And I’m a believer in continuous learning, staying humble, and letting the best ideas win.

IoT Sensor Network
Our research revealed warehouses (esp. fruits) and tea processing facilities require constant monitoring of environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity. Manual tracking of these critical parameters during processes like tea oxidation is time-consuming, error-prone, and can lead to product quality issues. We developed an IoT-connected application using Angular and Ionic framework for cross-platform deployment, enabling real-time monitoring of sensor networks in warehouse and tea processing environments. Using KTDA (Kenya Tea Development Agency) as a case study, the solution addresses critical monitoring needs in tea processing facilities where environmental conditions like heat and humidity must be carefully controlled during sensitive processes like oxidation.
